4-class Digital Photo Workshop In Porter Mills Studios
Course Description: What is photography? It’s about learning how to really use that camera of yours in new ways understanding light. It's also about composition which will lead to stronger, more meaningful images. In time, you will see the world around you in a new and different way.
We start with a classroom presentation or critique followed by a photo walk. We will explore different neighborhoods in beautiful Marblehead and practice what we learned. We’ll also cover street photography; how to include people in your frame with a gentle approach. From street portraits to candid shots, every class will bring new opportunities to practice techniques and get over the fear of photographing strangers.
Equipment Needed: A digital camera (SLR or point-and-shoot) is needed sadly, I do not have a darkroom. BUT, it is about your skills and talent and NOT about how expensive your camera is. Also, comfortable walking shoes. You will want a computer to edit your images for our critiques. You can use the image editing software you are most familiar with (Does NOT have to be Photoshop®). You can print in class or at home.
Where: 95 Rantoul Street, Studios at Porter Mills, Beverly - Studio 4-3. A detailed classroom and schedule will be sent out to participants one month prior to the workshop.
